QUESTIONS + ANSWERS

Does humidity cause frizz?

Yes. Humidity is one of the main causes of frizz because hair naturally absorbs moisture from the air.

When the cuticle isn't smooth and sealed, water vapor from the atmosphere enters the hair unevenly. Some strands absorb more moisture than others, causing them to swell at different rates. The result is a rough, expanded surface that looks frizzy, puffy, and undefined.

Hair that's dry, damaged, or highly porous is especially vulnerable because it has more gaps in the cuticle for moisture to enter.

The most effective anti-frizz products don't simply weigh hair down—they help create a water-resistant barrier around each strand to reduce moisture absorption and keep styles smooth for longer, even in humid conditions.
