JOIN COLOR WOW’S MISSION TO END HUMAN TRAFFICKING

We started our “Goods for Good” campaign in July 2019 with the intention of joining the fight to end human trafficking. But it’s really all thanks to you that we’re able to make a difference. It’s your generosity to buy the treasures handcrafted by our crime-fighting friends that makes it possible for us to support organizations solely dedicated to abolishing trafficking.

The way we see it, we’re a hair care company with a very broad reach...we’re talking hundreds of thousands of people on a daily basis through emails and social media. That’s an incredible opportunity to raise awareness and educate an entire community of people worldwide not only on the dangers of human trafficking, but the ways in which we can stop it.

When you buy from our Goods for Good online shop, 100% of the profits are donated to organizations saving lives. So we’d like to introduce you to the brave, kickass, passionate people we’ve partnered with so you can see for yourself how impactful your purchases are.

OPERATION UNDERGROUND RAILROAD (O.U.R. RESCUE)

100% of profits made from our Goods for Good shop were donated in 2019 to Operation Underground Railroad. O.U.R. is a team made up of experts from the CIA, law enforcement, and highly skilled operatives who coordinate operations to rescue victims of trafficking all over the world.

Since it began in 2013, O.U.R. has rescued 3,100 victims and assisted in the arrests of more than 1,700 traffickers around the world. Following a rescue, survivors are placed in aftercare facilities where they can heal safely and with the right resources. All we can say is...WOW!

The following participants in our “Goods for Good” online shop include:

THE TOTE PROJECT

“There’s nothing more important to us than ending human trafficking because we’ve seen first hand that there is hope for these women.” – Fay Grant + Michelle Chavez, Co-founders of The Tote Project

Started by two best friends, Fay Grant and Michelle Chavez, The Tote Project helps survivors of human trafficking by selling pouches made by Freeset, a fair trade business that offers employment to women escaping West Bengal’s sex trade. In return for their work, the women are provided with pension plans, living wages, health insurance, occupational therapy, and literacy and budget lessons.

The Tote Project then donates 10% of gross profits to Two Wings, an organization that helps empower survivors by offering mentoring programs, life skills classes, and career training workshops. This allows survivors to live the life they want to independently and confidently.

UNCVRD JEWELRY

“We just really believe that girls are capable of anything. With the right community of support around them and access to resources, they can achieve their dreams and soar.” – Jen Bedrossian, Founder of UNCVRD Jewelry

UNCVRD Jewelry is an online boutique that donates 40% of the proceeds made from the sales of its beautifully crafted jewelry to non-profit partners that are fighting human trafficking. One partner, Gems Uncovered, helps rebuild the lives of survivors by offering resources, counseling, and education opportunities so they can get back on their feet. Their second partner, Brave Global, works to empower vulnerable girls in foster care who are often targeted by pimps and traffickers.
