WAYS TO STYLE SHORT HAIR: HOW TO STYLE SHORT CURLY HAIR
The best part of a cropped curly cut? You don’t go through product as fast! The hardest part? Making sure curls stay voluminous and bouncy, and don’t fall flat due to the weight of typical gels and creams. Our go-to product is Dream Coat for Curly Hair for styling, since it’s super lightweight (aka curls stay bouncy) and provide natural looking shine.
Now here’s a tip if you want to keep your curl game strong for a few days: you need to pineapple your hair while you sleep. Now typically, a pineapple consists of pulling all your hair to the front of your head and tying them together in a loose ponytail. This ensures that while you toss and turn you only disturb the bottom layer of your hair.
But with a short cut, your curls might not reach forward all the way. The secret is a quadrant pineapple technique – instead of opting for one long ponytail in the front, split your hair into four loose ponytails (two on the top half of your head, two on the bottom). Be sure to secure each one as far forward towards your face as possible. This will ensure any tossing and turning disturbs only the inner layer of your curls. Once you remove the ponytails the next morning, that inner layer is totally hidden and your curls still look fresh.
