Gail Federici's Experience

A 35-year veteran of the hair industry, Federici started her career at the salon brand Zotos, quickly rising from an assistant in the education department to Vice President of Corporate Communications.

Her notable encounter with London-based hairstylist John Frieda in 1987 marked a turning point, as they became partners in the John Frieda Professional Hair Care company which developed the iconic Frizz Ease (the first ever solution to Frizzy Hair), Sheer Blonde and Beach Blonde brands.

They sold the company in 2002 and Federici then launched Color Wow in 2013.

The brand, known for its problem-solving approach to colored hair, first made waves with the award-winning Root Cover Up, followed by the revolutionary anti-humidity sealant, Dream Coat.

The Color Wow line, to date, has won over 100 beauty industry awards.
